My current research interests include:

  • Early Modern English and colonial social and cultural topics including migration, family dynamics, and the lived experiences of women.

    • 17th century childbirth aboard the ships of religious dissident settlers to New England.

    • The role of education and gender on Separatist and Puritan religious beliefs.​

    • Social rituals and gendered spaces in Early Modern society.

  • The untold stories of women in early America through the late 19th century.

  • The impact of Civil War memory and memorialization on mid-twentieth century Central Florida with a focus on the intersection of race and gender within the concepts of The Lost Cause and the institution of white supremacy.

  • The recovery of the history of the Jonestown neighborhood in Orlando, FL.

  • Local history of Orlando, FL, particularly history connected with Greenwood Cemetery.
